There once lived a little boy in a big city. He was very slow and all the kids in his class made fun of him. One Monday morning on his way to school a group of kids came out in front of him. They called him many mean words. After having a horrible day at school he went home, but matters just got worse. He was one of the poorest kids in the entire city. His dad worked in a cake factory, which didn’t make them that, enough money at all. His mom just stayed home and cleaned. Even though they were facing this entire obstacle they were still a happy family.
Well this Boy was Samir Gul and this is who he is. Life goes by fast, and at a blink of an eye you will be gone. But there is time right now, live everyday to the fullest and try to let the world know that you exist. The shy people aren’t going to get anywhere or accomplish many things. Even if you think you are dumb, you aren’t, because there is not just book smartness. Everybody has their own gift, something that they are really good at. Even I have a talent that I can share with this world. They are things that make me different, which is good. The most important things about me is that I am athletic, Afghani, religious, and outgoing.
Sports are the main thing about me; I just have a passion for it. The unusual thing is that I am actually good in most of it. Most people have desire of something that they might not be good at and need practice, but for me it is very easy to do something I love. I think that is something that makes me different. Football is a wonderful sport and without it I wouldn’t really know what to do. But just going outside on a sunny day and playing a game of football makes my day.
Most of my life I have been teased of my nationality or of my religion. I was born in Kabul, Afghanistan and came to America at age six for freedom. I don’t tell anybody that I was born there because that just might make the racism to be more. I have been called Osama’s son, terrorist, and many more things. At first it would bother me but not anymore. This is something that makes me really different, I am one of the few afghani people in the United States. Their racism is one of the things that have given me courage to not care and still be myself that is who I am. Be proud of where I am from.
Bringing God into your life can change it and make you become a better person. I pray five times a day and love the almighty God which we call Allah. There is this feeling of purity when ever you are on the Jaynamaz (it’s this rug kind of thing that you pray on), praying to God which is unexplainable. After praying it feels as if you don’t have the ability to lie, steel, or hurt anybody. So the question of god being there is that nobody know but if really have faith in Noor (which means invisible neither a man nor a women), you will see him/her in a form of something that can make you really believe in him/her. To me religion really builds a persons characteristic. Most people don’t believe in god but I think they should give it and chance, have faith in god and there beliefs might change. What if there is hell and heaven then they will have regrets of not giving it a try.
The people that are over achievers are most likely to be outgoing. I am very out going and like to learn new things, go on adventures, and be open to new things as life throws it at you. This makes me different from my afghani community because most of them are not open, they don’t like to try new thing. I have a big dream of becoming a doctor and curing people, but it is not going to be easy, it is going to take time and effort. But I will over achieve most of the people and become one.
That is some of my personality that yours may differ, but that is a good thing. So I hope before taking the last breath I achieve my goals and not be a follower and do something new. Don’t listen to anybody and be yourself. There might obstacles in your way that might try to stop you but never quit, but always fight. Know that somebody with a different idea about the world is a good thing. The greatest thing about us humans is that we can think for our self’s and do anything we want so why try to be somebody else.
