Very very long ago in a village know for their Soccer, there was a newborn. Just as his parents looked at him they knew that he was going to have a great future and he was going to be called Pollo, which meant chicken in Spanish. At the age of five he started playing soccer. Little that he knew that he was going to be a legend. Nobody could have guessed what was going to happen to him in the future. He was very small for his age group, but if it came to competition, he can beat anybody, whether it was running, soccer, or even football.
In the early 1974’s he moved to the great land known to everybody in the world as California. He developed as an athlete and human being. He started in school as a fourth grader and his soccer team went undefeated ever since. It was a one man team. No school in the state would want to face them. Years and years went by and he finally got to high school. His first year he broke all the records that was held by any man. They started to be known as the god of soccer.
At the age of fifteen he went pro. All his dreams were starting to come true, but behind all success there is a weakness. Humans are something that you can’t always depend on and that was the same case for Pollo. In his late twenties when he had all the success in the world, he got injured. There was two minutes remaining in the game and he was going to kick the game winner but a guy cut right in front of him and broke his leg. His season was over. There was a chance that his whole career could have or had been over. The legendary pollo’s career was over at least that is what the people thought.
After four years in his late twenties he made one of the greatest returns in the history of soccer, but he was starting to get too old. There were many fresh, young feats. Now it was the time for pollo to prove that age doesn’t define a person but the ability to overcome obstacles did. He had fought through something that nobody thought he would return; now it was time to be the legend again.
It didn’t happen, but he knew to himself that he never gave up and did the best at every chance he got. Now it is the next generations turn to take over, but I doubt they can break any of his records.
